Daniel Filipe

Friday Evening

Bishop Daniel Filipe is the Executive Director of Finances and Administration and the Director of Global Stewardship Ministries for the International Offices of the Church of God of Prophecy, will be the Ignite 24 Keynote Speaker on Friday evening, August 30.

Born in the Dominican Republic, at the age of five, Bishop Felipe relocated from the Dominican Republic to Brazil when his father, the late Daniel Felipe Sr., received an appointment as the National Bishop for that country. He grew up in Brazil in a culturally dynamic missionary household and moved to the United States in his late teenage years. With this rich international history, he is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

He and his wife, Laura, live in Cleveland, TN with their four children.

He started his ministry as a Youth Pastor in Arizona, where he later served as Regional Youth Director and Camp Coordinator for the Arizona/Nevada/New Mexico Region. At 22, he received an appointment to pastor his first church. Appointed in 2016, he joined the Global Finance & Stewardship Committee as a member. He became the State Bishop of Texas in 2018. Bishop Filipe assumed his current position at the International Offices of the Church of God of Prophecy in the summer of 2023.

Bishop Felipe received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Grand Canyon University. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Organization and Management with an emphasis on Leadership at Liberty University.

Brian Sutton

Saturday Evening

Dr. Bishop Brian Sutton will be the keynote speaker on Saturday evening of Ignite 24. Bishop Sutton serves the Church of God of Prophecy as North America Ministries’ general presbyter. He administrates 26 state/regional bishops who connect directly with over 1700 local congregations throughout Canada, the United States, and Bermuda. He is married to Renee. They have two children, one son-in-law, and two wonderful granddaughters.

Bishop Sutton’s previous roles included state bishop of Alabama, executive director of Leadership Development and Discipleship for the global church, and pastor for more than 25 years, including senior pastor of Peerless Road Church in Cleveland, Tennessee. He currently serves as a member of the Administrative Committee and Corporate Board of Directors for the international Church of God of Prophecy. He is a member of the Pentecostal-Charismatic Churches of North America (PCCNA) Discipleship Commission.
Bishop Sutton earned an Associate of Science in Ministry from Tomlinson College in Cleveland, Tennessee, and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia. He also earned a Master of Arts in Church Ministries from Pentecostal Theological Seminary, where he was selected alumnus of the year in 2018. He obtained both a Master of Arts in Religion and a Doctor of Ministry in Global Pentecostalism from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

Dr. Sutton is a prolific author. His first two books, Discovering Holiness: A Quest for God and Prevailing Prayer: Developing a Lifestyle of Conversation with God, were published by White Wing Books in 2014. In 2016, White Wing Publishing offered Dr. Sutton’s third book, The Minister’s Pocket Manual: Church of God of Prophecy Edition. In 2017, Broadstreet Press published Conversation with God: The Power of Prevailing Prayer. Next came his inspirational book on whole-life, practical mentoring, Practice These Things: Mentor Ministry Manual (White Wing Books, 2018).

Joshua Lynn

Sunday Morning

Joshua Lynn, the State Bishop of the Church of God of Prophecy in Virginia, will be our Sunday Morning Keynote Speaker.

Bishop Lynn has been serving as the Virginia State Bishop since 2022. Besides this role, he is an Adjunct Faculty Member at Spirit and Life Seminary and a member of the Board of Directors for Legacy Christian University. His extensive pastoral experience includes serving as Lead Pastor at various Church of God of Prophecy congregations in Hackleburg, Mastin Lake (Huntsville), Grove Hill, Boaz, and Leesburg, Alabama. He also held the position of Tennessee State Youth Director and was a Youth Pastor at Arrowhead, Knoxville, TN Church of God of Prophecy.
Bishop Lynn holds both a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies from Summit University and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Applied Intercultural Studies at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary.
